Vyvanse is rated an L3-limited data-probably compatible. The amount that transfers is 1.8-6.2% of your dose. We recommend keeping your dose low at the 30mg a day or less a day. When you take higher doses your infant is more likely to have side effects which is what we are trying to avoid. So if you can keep your dose around 30mg or less a day and your infant is not symptomatic it is probably ok to nurse. The medication is most concentrated in your milk at 3.5 hours after a dose so try and avoid that time. Monitor your infant for agitation, irritability, poor sleeping patterns, poor weight gain.

    Vyvanse and 2 month old

I was just perscribed 30 mg of Vyvanse. The dosage may go up depending on how I react to it. My baby is 2 months old and I pump milk and feed it to her. She does not take formula. Will the Vyvanse show up in my milk? I would hate to have to wean her so young, especially in the winter. Do I have to stop giving her breast milk?
