    Need info with regard to maternal use with preterm 33 weeker, 1800gm baby. Mom's dose is 250mg one time a day. Any info would be appreciated.

    Dear mommacarter,

    We have no data on the transfer of armodafinil into breast milk, however looking at the pharmacokinetics of the drug it is likely. This medication is L4 on Dr. Hale's lactation scale. Methylphenidate is a suitable alternative for treatment of narcolepsy in breastfeeding.
