A mother with a 4-day-old is giving about half and half breastmilk and formula to reduce the amount of her multiple medications to baby. She is taking Lithium 300 mg twice a day; Klonopin was just decreased from 1 to 0.25 mg three times a day; Seroquel 150 mg at bedtime; Prozac 20 mg daily; Hydrocodone 5 mg every 4 hours as needed (for cesarean); Ibuprofen every 6 hours; and an Albuterol inhaler as needed. Baby had a respiratory issue after birth that resolved. Could she continue feeding half and half as long as desired, with monitoring? Any suggestions? Thank you.
