    Pyrantel pamoate

    Hi,

    I'm currently nursing my 10 week old, and have a child with reoccurring pinworm infection. The Dr wants us to treat the whole family, but can't find any information regarding the safety of pyrantel pamoate.

    Pyrantel pamoate is not even absorbed orally, it stays in the GI tract with the pinworms. Its quite safe to use in a breastfeeding woman.
