  • Lisinopril and labatalol.

I am being treated for post partum pre eclampsia. I am prescribed 200mg of labetalol 3x a day and 10mg of lisenopril 1 time a day. My baby was born at 38+4 and is almost 3 weeks old. Is this safe to take while breastfeeding her?

Yes. You can breastfeed as long as the infant is stable.

these antihypertensive enter milk poorly. Just watch the infant for weakness, poor feeding, or just floppyness.

Its really unlikely at 3 weeks postpartum you'll see anything like this.
