  • Cough meds when allergic to codeine

I have a cold and am beginning with a cough, which becomes worse when I lay down. I'd really like to try something that may help me sleep tonight. I will wait to take meds until my twins nurse at 11 pm because they sleep through the night and I get up at 5 am to pump, so my body will have quite a few hours to process any medication. Any suggestions?
