    when does prozac 30mg peak in your system after ingestion?

    Hi, Im wondering how long does it take for Prozac to peak in your system? for eg, if the dose is taken at 8am, when would it peak to be at its highest levels in your system?

    HMC:

    Peak time in plasma ranges from 1.5 - 12 hours. I wouldn't mess with trying to avoid the peak. This drug, once it reaches its steady state, won't vary too much in its peak and trough.

    Due to its long half life ( 13 days or so), levels become quite steady over the dosing intervals, thus its not really worthwhile to try and avoid 'peaks'.

    I suggest you take the dose that works for you, and just go ahead and breastfeed. Many many mothers have used Prozac and millions of exposed infants are just fine.
