  • Lexapro vs zoloft

From my understanding, Zoloft is the SSRI of choice during breast feeding. Is Lexapro a good second option to this? Is the safety profile similar to this? I see all of the good information on Zoloft but not much on Lexapro and it concerns me that it's not as safe.

    Fridgejo:

We have far less data on Lexapro, than with Zoloft. It just depends on which "works" for you. If you've tried Lexapro and it worked on your, then by all means use that one. We ALWAYS choose the one that works, over any other element.

If you've not tried either, then I'd suggest Zoloft, because we have so much data on it. But be advised that it might not work for you.
