Dental treatment anaesthetic??

  • Dental treatment anaesthetic??

    Hi

I need to have some minor dental work done. I will need an anaesthetic injection in my mouth. They tell me it's called Ubestine Forte. Is it safe for me to nurse my 18 month old baby straight after having the dental work done or do I have to wait a certain period of time?

Also, they want to give me a fluoride treatment on my teeth. Is it safe to nurse after this?

    Thanks. Nikita

    Nikita Munro,

Ubistine Forte is articaine with epinephrine. When used for dental work very little is expected to enter the milk compartment. You may continue to breastfeed without interruption.

    Fluoride treatments are also ok.
