  • Noophen and zoloft

Hi, physician prescribes me Zoloft in increasing dosage and noophen (aminophenylbutyric acid) 250 mg twice a day. I breastfeed a baby 7.5 months old. Are these meds compatible with breastfeeding or not? Thank you very much for your answer

      OlgaShu,

Zoloft is rated an L2-limited data-probably compatible. The amount that transfers is 0.4-2.2% of your dose. Monitor your infant for sedation or irritability, poor feedings and poor weight gain.

Noophen is not approved for use in the U.S. so we cannot advise on the safety of this medication.
