  • AVBD chemo and breastfeeding

I'm currently receiving AVBD chemotherapy. I’ll have treatment number 10 about 3 weeks before my little one arrives. How long will it be before I’m able to breastfeed after that treatment?

    Fcgirl23,

The recommendation for breastfeeding after receiving these 4 medications is at least 10 days after your last dose. If you receive your last dose 3 weeks before delivery you should be ok to nurse at that time.

Thank you so much for your reply! Everything I’d read up to this point was 6-8 weeks, so I’m glad I got on here and asked.
