    Azithromycin ophthalmic

    Dear sharkasurf,
This product is probably safe for you to use. It is an antibiotic that is routinely used in children and has not been shown to have any major adverse effects. The amount absorbed via ophthalmic use is minimal and should not bother the baby.

I am breastfeeding and have this prescription for an eye infection. brand: Azasite (azithromycin ophthalmic)
Is this harmful for the baby. I only take 2 drops per day for 2 days and then 1 drop per day for 5 days.

    Thank you for your help
