    Sorry for the delay on this question. We had to research it from scratch and it turned out to be more complicated than we expected. The short answer is that it should be safe to nurse your son after taking the Albenza. Albenza (albendazole) has multiple active metabolites that have to be tracked separately. Less than 1% of the original drug or its metabolites get into the milk. This is too little to cause any real problems in the baby. No issues have been reported in infants exposed to albendazole via breastmilk.
