  • Augmentin and breastfeeding

Was wondering how safe augmentin is with breastfeeding. The doctor at the urgent care said it is safe but I have not had a chance to talk to the pediatrician. I was on keflex before and was told that was ok. Just looking for a little piece of mind until I talk to my child's pediatrician. So far I haven't noticed anything wrong with my baby but I only started the medications yesterday

Liirau: Augmentin (amoxicillin + clauvulanic acid) is just fine for a breastfeeding mom. Might cause a little diarrhea in infant but nothing major. We give it to babies all the time for ear infections.
