    H Pylori antibiotics

    Hi.

    I need to take Amoxicillin ( Betamox) 1 gram twice daily together with Clarithromycin 500 mg twice daily for H pylori stomach ulcer bacteria. Is this dosage safe to take and still nurse a 4 year old? Or is it too strong?

    This should be ok as long as your toddler is not symptomatic, only 0.95% of amoxicillin transfers into breast milk and up to 2% of clarithromycin transfers. Monitor your infant for vomiting, diarrhea, rash and thrush.
