Hello, can I use Bengay extra strength while nursing my two year old?, I would love to use it for my neck. Thank you!

    Buttercup,

Bengay Ultra Strength has 3 ingredients, camphor, menthol and methyl salicylate, used short term topically is probably ok if you apply it after breastfeeding and allow time for it to be absorbed into the skin. Apply sparingly, wash hands after applying and avoid baby coming in contact with the medication. If your child is sick avoid using because of the methyl salicylate which is similar to aspirin which has been associated with Reye syndrome.
