  • acetaminphen overdose

    One of our NICU mothers called this morning saying she has been taking Tylenol #3 and extra strength tylenol for the past 48 hours. We calculated her total 24 hr dose as 5 gms. Are you interested in knowing the drug level in her milk as she has been pumping every 3 hours. She has 33 week twins that are now one week old and both weigh 2 kg. Wouldn't her milk be fine to use after 12 hours? Thanks for your input....

    No thank you. I don't have any active protocols to look at acetaminophen at this time.
