  • Baby aspirin

Hi, I had developed a partial blood clot when I was 15 weeks pregnant. I was on Lovenox and then heparin. The day after I had my daughter they found the blood clot dissolved. She's currently 9 months old. I was told should I take a trip to move around every 2 hours. I around am at a greater risk of future blood clots. I leave in a week for a trip and will be on a plane for almost 7 hours. She is still a nursling. Is it safe to take baby aspirin while nursing so I can help prevent any more clots.

    Hi, thanks for your post.

Low dose "baby" aspirin is a fairly low risk medication to use while breastfeeding. Details are discussed on our other website, MommyMeds.com:

Please post again or call us at the InfantRisk Center if this has not completely answered your question.*(806)352-2519
