  • Breastfeeding after wisdom teeth removal

My dentist prescribed Norco 5-325 and Tylenol 3 with amoxilin after a really bad removal. It was with local anesthetic. How long I need wait to breastfeed again? I took one dose of both pain killers at 2pm and the last one was at 8pm 02-oct-18. It been almost 12 hours and I don’t want to take any more medicine. When is completely safe to breastfeed again without any risk. My son is 22 months old.

    KarlaWilliams1,

It is safe to resume breastfeeding at 12 hours as the Norco is 87.5% out of your system, and Tylenol 3 is 93% out. If you want both to be completely out wait 23 hours.
