[COLOR=#141823][FONT=helvetica] [SIZE=14px] HELP!!! My 2 year old has had a fever the past few days. I had an upset stomach and took some pepto-bismol without thinking. Does anyone know how much is passed into milk? Or how long it stays in my milk? Do I need to pump and dump? For how long? Or have a resource for someone I can call to find out?

    Jodilynne516,

We do not know how much pepto-bismol transfers into breast milk nor do we have a half life. We would normally say to wait 2-3 hours after a dose to breastfeed, but since your infant is ill and running a fever I would suggest a minimum of 24 hours.

    I hope this helps.
