Is it safe to consume turmeric powder In larger quantities when breastfeeding
(for example, 1 teaspoon for 3 times a day)?

    Jw1:

We don't know if it is safe in breastfeeding. Many turmeric products are contaminated with starches, wheat flour, etc. Some have been contaminated with lead. They also contain about 2% oxylate, which can in some instances cause kidney stones.
I don't think it advisable to use excessive amounts while breastfeeding. In essence, you are exposing your infant to high levels of turmeric as well.
