  • Lecithin

I am wondering if there is a limit to the amount of lecithin I can take while breastfeeding, as I've heard that some mothers need more of it to help with clogged ducts. I am currently taking 6,000 mg but am considering taking more to try and see if that is effective - wondering if there is an amount that I cannot exceed. Thank you.

I don't know of any complications from over consuming Lecithin. I doubt much if any is really absorbed orally because it is rapidly metabolized in the GI tract of the human. There is no evidence that it is effective again plugged ducts anyway. Just anecdotal evidence.
