A family medicine MD is taking care of a patient with a pituitary adenoma on Carbergoline. She is 26 wks pregnant. Her OB wants her to stop the Carbergoline at 28 wks, but medical MD thinks she can stay on it longer. I was reading about its half life and not sure the ideal time to stop, in order to keep mother safe, but not inhibit breastfeeding as it’s one of her goals. I’m a CLC so this is why the MD asked for my advice.
