Mel1108,
Prometrium is just a form of progesterone. "Progesterone is a naturally occurring steroid (progestin) that is secreted by the ovary, placenta, and adrenal gland. Although the plasma levels following oral progesterone are low, in some mothers oral progestins may suppress milk productions. Always warn mothers to watch for lower milk production. Intravaginal preparations are of limited concern since although the intrauterine levels are high, the plasma levels are low." (Medications and Mothers' Milk database, Dr Thomas Hale PhD).
