A mum with an child 4 month was known with a prolactinoma
The last MRI looks good The prolatine level was taken and 600 and 1200 (3 ours afterr having breastfed her child)
This mum does not feel wel and thinks there is a relation between the feedings and her arousel state She feels the prolactine descent and deminisch around the feeding sessions
Does any body know the normal levels of prolactine before and after feeding
Does anybody know the influence of prolactine leveld and these feelings from a mum She tells she get angry and pist off

    Saskia:

First, prolactin levels sufficient to support lactation should be about 50-100 ng/mL several hours after breastfeeding.

If they are low, say 10-40 ng/mL, then she may produce less milk.

The symptoms you are describing sound a lot like an unusual set of symptoms we refer to as DMER or dysphoric milk ejection reflex.

I would refer you to this website to see if this patients symptoms match DMER.
