I have a history of depression with an incidence of psychosis and I'm currently worried about possible symptoms of PPD at 1 month postpartum. However I have a history of worsening depression from psychiatric medications. I have had this reaction to (apologies for spellings) Saint Johns Wort, SamE, Paxil, Amitryptilene, Wellbutrin, Lithium, Risperdal, and Depakote. The one thing I have tried that didn't have a negative effect was Neurontin, though it was not effective for mood or physical pain, and was going to be switched to Lyrica before I became pregnant. What would be an option to try that I may have a different reaction to? I am already pumping some as I take Propranolol and will soon be starting Oxazepam for my PTSD (previously expressed milk was suggested after taking the occassional dose of Oxazepam), so incorporating pumping and dumping at the height of levels in milk would be an option if any drugs would be safer that way.
