This med is a smooth muscle anti-spasmodic to slow intestinal motility. Can I take this while breastfeeding during a flare up? Also wondering about loperamide? Are there side effects such as constipation in the infant to watch for if they are safe? Also on pentasa 500 mg 2 tabs 3x/ day and prednisone 25 mg and trying to taper... For breastfeeding safety and infant side effects ??? Thanks for your thoughts.
