  • Ongoing Medications in Cystic Fibrosis & Occasional Use of Antibiotics

I have CF and have exclusively breastfed my baby since his birth in January 2013. My lactation consultant has looked over my list of medications, but I'd love some input from the experts here, too.

    1. Are the medications listed below safe to take throughout nursing? (They are ongoing maintenance medications.)

    2. Are there recommended safe antibiotics for when I am dealing with lung infections?

    Thank you!

    Med List:
    [ ] Zyrtec 10mg (daily seasonal)
    [ ] ProAir PRN
    [ ] Xopenex 45 mcg BID
    [ ] Advair 500/50 BID
    [ ] Pulmozyme 2.5mg
    [ ] Flonase 50 mcg
    [ ] Creon 24 (2-3 w/meals)
    [ ] Novolog via pump 1:25
    [ ] Calcium 600mg +D BID
[ ] Source CF BID (This is temporarily on back stock. I'm taking Vitamax instead.)
    [ ] Prenatal
    [ ] Docusate 100mg BID
    [ ] Salmon Oil 1000mg
