I am a breastfeeding mom of a 15 month old and was wondering what the safest medication is for insomnia? I have tried Unisom tabs (about a quarter to a half tablet a night) and have also tried melatonin. I suffer from anxiety but also have a temporary additional stress of an upcoming move to Asia in the next couple of weeks. Is there anything you could recommend to help me get through the next couple of weeks! Thanks!

Hi,
Tylenol PM might work for you. Beyond that, I would suggest you visit with your physician to see if he or she will prescribe you a medication that would help you with both the anxiety and the insomnia. If you are prescribed a medication, please call us at 806-352-2519 and we can discuss the specifics of that particular medication with you. Our hours are Mon-Fri from 8am-5pm, CDT.
