  • Chemical sunscreen

There seems to be a lot of debate online about the safety of chemical sunscreen during pregnancy but I can’t find anything definitive from reliable sources (such as hospital sites and nih) only blogs on parenting websites. I was wondering if chemical sunscreen is safe during pregnancy or only mineral sunscreen should be used.

It is recommended to wear sunscreen during pregnancy when needed. We do not advise on specific chemicals in products. Just medication safety. Hope this helps!
You would probably want to reach out to your OB doctor. They would have more information on this.
