  • Chemical peels and lactation

I'm both a Breastfeeding Counselor and an Esthetician. I am interested in finding out if professional level chemical peels are safe for breastfeeding, or which ones might be safe, if any, based on concentrations and ph levels. Is there any research on this? I frequently use a fruit enzyme treatment for my pregnant and lactating clients, but have a couple who have severe acne (grade 3+) and would benefit from some salicylic treatments. Thank you so much for your time and expertise!
