  • Demerol - Versed and nursing?

Hi there - I have to have an upper GI endoscopy and the two meds they use to sedate are demerol and versed. My 18-month old isn't nursing a ton bc she's in fulltime daycare and only nurses after 5pm, but the nurses said I'd need to pump and dump for 24 hours. According to Hale's book, both of these are category L2 during lactation, so I'm not planning on the pump and dump - has anyone nursed while having sedatives still in your system? Thanks!
