  • Choice of Antidepressants

Which antidepressants are the safest in order from most to least? Zoloft has the least amount of transmission but what if it doesn't work? What would be the next choice for the most studied and least transmission into the milk?

And is it safer to go on a higher dose of Zoloft vs a lower dose of another SSRI?

This is a "clinical" question that is unique to you. You need to discuss this with you physician.

Last question. Is switching to formula better than breast milk taking an SSRI or is breast milk taking SSRIs better for baby?

          Honeybear:

Switching to formula is is not better for the infant when compared to minor levels of Zoloft.
