  • Bactrim

I was originally prescribed macrobid, but it was resistant to the type of UTI and baby and I had a reaction. I have now been prescribed Bactrim, however baby is 6 weeks old, but healthy full term and no bilirubin issues. I've seen its not safe under 2 months, but need to start something. Thanks

    Sschiller:

If you infant does not have elevated bilirubin levels, and because the risk at 6 weeks is normally low, then Bactrim is probably a good choice for you and should be safe at this time.
