  • Bactrim 6 week old

    Hello,
Doctor would like to prescribe bactrim for mastitis/breast abscess. I've been on Clindamycin, culture came back positive for staph and he would like to change antibiotics.
Is this safe for my 6 week old daughter? And is there a recommended dose for safety?
    Thank you.

Sulfas are just fine for a "6 week" old infant as long as he/she doesn't have elevated bilirubin levels.
