  • Lubricant Eye drops

Hi I have been given two sets of lubricate eye drops to use following a corneal ulcer. I have to use clinitas carbomer 0.2% gel 3 x a day and the other is lacri-lube to be used at night for two weeks. Are these drops just basically Vaseline for the eyes? Is it ok to use and breastfeed without any risk to Baby? Thanks

    Hi, thanks for your post.

Yes, that's exactly what these eyedrops are. I expect virtually none of it to be absorbed into your body, so it should be safe to breastfeed while using this.

Please post again or call us at the InfantRisk Center if this has not completely answered your question. (806)352-2519

      So would you advise to
Continue breastfeeding with these drops and it will not pose a risk to baby?
