The dentist used oxygen mask. Strong suction, irrigation and a mouth dam. Should I pump and dump. I am so afraid that somehow that was not enough and I am exposing my 6 month old baby.

 IFynnthompson:

Levels of mercury in moms plasma rise pretty significantly following removal with NO protection at all and they stay up for several months. However, I'm sure the dentist used a suction device during removal and the levels may not be so high. But remember that mercury has a finite half life and will eventually go away, even in infants. So I'd suggest the risk at 6 months is probably low and I'd suggest you continue breastfeeding.
