Vitamin question

Hi, I am currently taking rainbow light prenatal vitamins while breast-feeding. I also take DHA and iron pills (when I remember). Is it safe to add in a calcium/magnesium/zinc supplement? I was started on metformin recently and read that this supplement should be taken along with it? I Also had someone recommended to me for the milk supply issues .
