    Hi

    I am currently nursing my two and a half year old infant.
    I need to take a vitamin B complex.

    Is it safe for me to take Solgar Megasorb Vitamin B complex once daily?

    ingredients per tablet below.
    Thiamin (vitamin B1) (as thiamin mononitrate) 50 mg 4,167%
    Riboflavin (vitamin B2) (as riboflavin, riboflavin-5-phosphate) 55 mg 4,231%
    Niacin (vitamin B3) (as niacinamide) 50 mg 313%
    Vitamin B6 (as pyridoxine HCI, pyridoxal-5-phosphate) 55 mg 3,235%
    Folate (400 mcg folic acid) 666 mcg DFE 167%
    Vitamin B12 (as cyanocobalamin) 50 mcg 2,083%
    Biotin (as D-biotin) 50 mcg 167%
    Pantothenic Acid (vitamin B5) (as D-Ca pantothenate, pantethine) 55 mg 1,100%
    Choline (as choline bitartrate) 21 mg 4%
    Magnesium (as magnesium citrate, magnesium oxide) 24 mg 6%

    Sorry, we can't really help you with this mix of stuff. We simply don't know if they are safe. As for your recommended vitamin, I'd suggest you take your pregnancy vitamin 2-3 times a week. This should provide all you and your infant really needs.

    Don't go overboard with supplementing vitamins. The risk in overdosing vitamins is FAR higher than the benefit.

    Thank you. So it's ok then if I take one per day? Or rather just one every second day? Or better not to take it, to be safe?

    Theres one other vitamin please that I need to enquire about which I'm supposed to take. It's a green powder mix which you drink daily in water and it contains the following :


    ​Pea protein, organic superfood & greens blend with probiotics, dehydrated coconut nectar, acacia soluble fibre, vitamin C, stevia extract

    Greens Blend per serving: 2530mg
    Organic wheatgrass, green algae (spirulina), pea fibre, organic barley grass, organic alfalfa leaf, aloe vera inner leaf gel 200:1 concentrate

    Reds Blend per serving: 28mg
    Beetroot, apple, broccoli, kale, spinach, parsley, red raspberry, blueberry, strawberry, tomato, cranberry, pomegranate, acai berry (Euterpe oleracea), blackberry, cherry, black raspberry, acerola, apple pectin, banana, flaxseed, mango, papaya, peach, pear, pineapple, watermelon

    Probiotic Blend per serving: 138 million CFU
    Probiotic cultures CFU including: L. acidophilus, L. rhamnosus, L. brevis, L. plantarum, B. bifidium, B. longum

    Some of the vitamins are above the RDA, but in an older infant these doses will probably not be a problem.
