  • Botox for dystonia

Starting in February, I will be receiving Botox injections for my dystonia. My son is 28 months. Do I need to wean?

    Laurener:

Should be fine. I'd wait a few hours for any "loose" Botox to dissipate from the plasma, but this is only a precaution. Botox is too large to enter the milk compartment, and when injected into a site, can't get out of the site into the plasma compartment anyway. So it should be fine.
