Dear beantown347,
Pantoprazole (Protonix) is a proton-pump inhibitor similar to omeprazole (Prilosec). Levels in milk were very low and were undetectable after 4 hours. Pantoprazole is unstable at pH less than 4.0. Virtually none would be absorbed so appears to be compatible with breastfeeding. Observe your infant for diarrhea although not likely.
Sincerely,
