How long should I wait to resume nursing after taking femara 5 mg for five days. My 6 month old is exclusively nursing and will not wean. I am 42 and want to try again. Femara was successful for my 5 children. When will it be out of my system?

    Mommahas11,

We recommend waiting 10-12 days after your last dose of Femara to resume breastfeeding. Femara has a half-life of 48 hours and it takes 6 half-lives to be completely out.
