  • Ovarian stimulation while breastfeeding

    Hello,
I am occassionaly nursing my 30 month old child (mostly at night to fall asleep as a natural pacifier), I do have regular menstrual cycles and regular prolactin levels. I am considering starting ovarian stimulation protocol with GR antagonist, in particular I will take meriofert, orgalutral and ovitrelle for 10 days in total. I would appreciate your insights regarding the safety of this drugs for my child. I am not concerned about low milk production as I am in the process to stop breastfeeding completely. I am only worried if my nursing child will be affected by this drugs through the milk he is getting, even if it is only very little amount of milk. Is it ok if I keep breastfeeding for such a little time during the ovarian stimulation process and if I continue after until my child stops on its own? Or shall i completely stop breastfeeding BEFORE I start the IVF protocol of ovarian stimulation with the drugs I mentioned above? Also do you think it will affect the eggs production even if I have regular prolactin levels and all the other hormones within normal range? I am 41 y.o with AMH 1.8. Thank you.
