  • Breastfeeding and frozen embryos

    Hello
I have a breastfeeding baby (23 months old). She is breastfeeding 6 to 7 times day. I concieve the baby with IVF. I would like to have a second child without stopping breastfeeding if this is safe for the child. I have frozen embryos from the previous IVF and I would like to do the transfer process. In order to do this I must be given the following medications:

    1. Cyclacur active ingredient estradiol valerate (2mg per pill)

    2. Vasclor vaginal gel active ingredient progesterone 22.5gr

    3. Utrogestan 200mg active ingredient progesterone

Medicines should be taken as follows:

Cyclacur: With the beginning of menstrual cycle 3 pills a day every 8 hours for 4 days. Then for 8 days 4 pills a day and after the transfer 6 pills a day.

Vasclor: Four days prior to tranfer, one dose every day i continue after transfer.

Utrogestan: When transfer 2 tablets every day.

Is This process safe for my baby girl?

    Thank you

    Xaratir,

These medications are probably ok, they may decrease your milk supply, but that will happen naturally if you become pregnant.

My doctor is cautious about estradiol because I will take more than normal. IS The quantities I mentioned above safe?
