    bmaqmom,

L-deprenyl (selegiline) is rated an L-4-no data- possibly hazardous. "This is a typical and irreversible monoamine oxidase (MAO) inhibitor. This product has numerous and severe drug-drug interactions and drug-food interactions. MAO inhibitors are too hazardous to be used in breastfeeding mothers. This product should not be used in breastfeeding mothers." (Medications and Mothers' Milk database, Dr Thomas Hale PhD). It is true your toddler would probably not get much of the medication through your breast milk since he is older and only breastfeeding twice a day for short stents, however the benefits of breastfeeding at this point does not exceed the risk of the medication.
