I have had add all of my life and am breastfeeding my 7 month old I am torn to stop nursing and get back on my 20mg of vyvance, if at all is this considered safe to nurse with the medication could it kill my baby? And what does the % mean that could transfer into milk thanks

    Mommyof3boys12141,

Vyvanse is rated and L3-limited data-probably compatible. The amount that transfers into breast milk is 1.8-6.2% of your dose. We think if you keep the dose low (30-40mg or less a day) it is probably ok as long as your infant is not symptomatic, monitor for agitation, irritability, poor sleeping patterns, poor weight gain.
