  • Concerta Extended Release

    Hello,

I have recently switched from adderall to concerta due to the minimal amount of the medication that’s transferred to breast milk, however, I was wondering if the peak of the medication should be avoided while nursing.

Does the extended release formula have a different peak than the immediate release and is the half life different as well? If so is it advisable to use immediate release over extended to limit exposure or is there not much of a difference?

I'm having a hard time finding this information on my own and my physician doesn’t seem too familiar.

    Thanks!
