    I looked up both of these meds in the mobile app and they are listed as probably safe for BF-L3, with the only real issue being that clonidine could decrease milk supply. Any other information you can provide on taking both of these and breastfeeding would be well appreciated.

    Lisa:

    The literature suggests that clonidine may suppress prolactin levels in some women. Hence the warning. I do not know the incidence of this. Just be aware.

    Metoprolol is an ideal beta blocker. It has very low levels in milk and is our recommended choice as a beta blocker. But as with all beta blockers, watch for weakness and poor feeding.
