Needing to try 180mg of extended release daily for bp. Failed labetalol and procardia due to orthostatic hypotension. Is this safe? Thanks

    tbringus:

While DILTIAZEM (Cardizem) is not an ideal candidate, it is probably safe to use. We generally prefer Nifedipine from the same family. We estimate about 0.87% of the dose gets to the infant via milk. Just observe your infant for weakness, but its really unlikely to occur.
