Topical corticosteroids for nipple psoriasis during breastfeeding

Dear andersond,
We would recommend topical hydrocortisone ointment (0.5% to 1%) initially. If the psoriasis persists, then use of mometasone ointment 0.1% then proceeding to triamcinolone ointment 0.025% to 0.1% if needed. These ointments should be applied in a thin layer, with excess being removed prior to breastfeeding.
